How it's calculated

Golden hour, blue hour, sunrise and sunset times are calculated astronomically from your exact coordinates — not looked up from a generic table. That means it works offline with no internet connection required, and updates automatically as you move between locations.

Why it matters for drone photography

Low, warm, directional light during golden hour reduces harsh shadows and adds depth to aerial landscape shots that flat midday light can't match
Blue hour's even, shadowless light works well for city and architectural shots where golden hour's strong directionality can overexpose reflective surfaces
